Permian Basin Logs

        To order paper logs from the Subsurface Library's 800,000 log Permian Basin collection in
         Midland, you must first join the Library to check-out logs by mail.  These logs must be returned
         to the Library in good condition by the end of the following month.  Logs may be retained for 24
         hours before they are subject to recall.  Recalled logs must be returned within 24 hours once
         the member has been notified at the member's expense.

         fax at (432) 684-4718 or call her at (432) 683-5588.  Our logs-by-mail service is available only to
         out-of-town members and a $25 per hour geo-tech rate is charged to pull and refile the logs, plus
         shipping.  In town members may use our $25 per hour geo-tech service but must pick up and
         return logs at the Library.

         We also will print logs for you if you have your own scanned log images and just want them printed
         on continuous, high-quality folded paper.  The pricing for this service is listed below.

Texas Logs - Statewide (Districts 1-10 & State Waters)

         To order scanned or paper logs from anywhere in Texas, including the Permian Basin, from the
         Bureau of Economic Geology (BEG), the Texas Railroad Commission or the Texas General
         Land Office you do not need to join the Library.  Simply contact our Austin office below or click here.

         We also sell newly released Texas Railroad Commission logs (tif images on CD) that we mail
         monthly to subscribers for $50.00 per district, plus shipping.  We also have a microfiche scanner in
         our Austin office.

New Mexico Logs

         To order continuous-paper logs from the New Mexico Oil Conservation Division (OCD) you do not
         need to join the Library.  Click here http://ocdimage.emnrd.state.nm.us/imaging/LogFileCriteria.aspx
         to go to their web site.  Then search for your logs and order them from our Midland office below.  We will
         print and mail the logs to you, or if you are in our Midland office, we can usually print the logs while you
         wait.  Be sure to order using the API # when available.

PRICING FOR HARD-COPY LOGS:

• $2.50 per log, plus 48 cents per foot.
• Shipping is extra.
• Orders usually ship the next business day.
• All paper logs are printed on continuous, high-quality, folded paper.

PRICING FOR SCANNED LOGS:

• $10.00 per log for orders of 1 to 5 logs. $5.00 per log for orders of 6 logs or more.
• Shipping is extra.
• Orders usually ship the next business day.
• Scanned logs are scanned as (.tif) files.

Invoices will be sent with each order and are due upon receipt.  If you are a member, charges will appear on
your monthly statement.
