GEOLOGIC DATA

Electric Log Collection is barcoded, indexed and searchable on computer by location (i.e. County, Section, Block,
Survey, Township & Range), by Operator, by Lease Name, by League & Labor and by Depth Interval .  New logs are
added daily.

Microfiche Log Collection covering the entire state of Texas.  The logs were released between 1985 and 1998.  We
have a microfiche viewer-printer-scanner so one can print paper copies or make a digital image (PDF or TIF) of a log.

Six Historical Oil Company Scout Ticket Collections including: Mobil, American Republic, Western Natural Gas,
Argo, Sinclair and Amerada.  The coverage dates range from the early 1920's through the late 1960's.

Amerada Scout Ticket Collection is indexed and searchable on computer by location, where ticket images may
be searched, viewed and printed.

Scout Card Collections - both Rinehart and Kroenlein.  

Midland Oil Scouts Association current scout ticket data is available in the Library.

Permian Basin Sample Lab's entire log collection has been acquired by the Library.  The PBSL was the primary
company providing Stratigraphic Logs for the Permian Basin since 1944.  There are some 16,000 logs in Texas,
6,000 in New Mexico and a few in Arizona, Utah and Arkansas.

Permian Basin Sample Log Descriptions have been acquired by the Library.  These sample logs were transcribed
by geologists for the Permian Basin Sample Laboratory.  The coverage that commences around 1944 and runs through
1993 is stored in 20 filing cabinets.

County Land/Ownership Maps are updated weekly with new locations and completions and are available in the Library.

Original Lockwood's Production Books, Laughlin-Simmons Elevations & Locations, USGS Topopgraphic Maps,
Texas Oil & Gas Proration Schedules, Oil & Gas Regulations for Texas & New Mexico are all in the Library.
